A few months ago, I saw an opportunity to become involved in a Global Writing Lockdown project the organisation 'Fighting Words' was facilitating. A couple of my friends volunteer with Fighting Words. The organisation aims to help children and young people and adults who did not have opportunities as children to discover and harness the power of their own imagination and creative writing skills. It also aims to use creative writing and storytelling to strengthen children and teenagers from a wide range of backgrounds to be resilient, creative and successful shapers of their own lives.
